The primary difference between photography and cinematography is time. Tension is built through the desire of the viewer to see an outcome that is hinted in the film. Imagination drives the desire forward in a co-creation – imagine the ice melting above, driving the desire and wetness further into the climax?
When we build our script together, both the use of slow-motion; and time-lapse to illustrate our sexual tension and release will be written into our scripts.
So – are you willing to be bound to a post to let the sunrise light change over your skin? Then re-create the shot every 15min all day to show the sun and sky changing to illustrate the perpetuity of the skin’s desire to be touched?
Do you Want the Excitement of Now
The elements of motion, and set design in the visual medium, are present to ‘shock’ us into a new experience. Drawing us into an experience that is more focused than our linear experience of time, or a more powerful experience of the subject where we as the creators are sharing an experience that it’s not possible for the viewer to have in their reality.
As such, you have to be prepared to stretch your normal, go beyond your average
and try new things
that should excite you
so that you can convey that excitement to the viewers
Excitement Demands Release
The Idea of plurality, using a split screen or other editing tricks – would be a fun script – public facing side, private facing side. Or maybe that’s an inner conflict arising from the need for a lover, to be loved, and the attention
Mixing explicit sound, with non-explicit imagery is also of great interest to me.
Fluids, are a metaphor for me – great to work with and build the surface tension of skin and slip over time.
Here the use of masks gives some form of anonimity – and the use of lipstick carries the them of touch from velour gloved texture to an interesting way to feature the first touches of the labia. Featuring toys, textures, and location all add interest and tension to your erotic film.
Planning some visual effects to illustrate the deepening commitment to sensation through erotic climax is something to consider and pland for in your script.
